- The CTA received "Letters Patent from Industry Canada in 2000"
- To support existing members
- To educate, promote and provide information about Texel sheep.
- Promote Canadian Texels throughout North America.
- Encourage membership participation for the benefit of all members.
- Publish bi-annual newsletters
- Present Texel breeders interests at provincial and Federal Government levels.
- Provide a forum for members views
- Continuously improve our service to members.
- The Association (CTA) is a registered non profit corporation.
